Two organizations, the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH) and the RI Department of Labor and Training’s Business Workforce Center, are collaborating to recruit for CNA jobs in Rhode Island.
CNA jobs are in high demand all across the United States.
The assistant jobs are needed for Eleanor Slater Hospital’s Zambarano Unit in Pascoag.
BHDDH is seeking 20-25 CNAs to perform work related to the direct care and treatment of Zambarano patients. The positions are considered full-time seasonal jobs with future opportunities for permanent placement.
A recruitment event will be held at the Zambarano Unit, 2090 Wallum Lake Rd., from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28. No advanced registration is necessary. Applicants are encouraged to bring copies of their résumé.
BHDDH Director Craig Stenning said, “Our patients and clients receive excellent care, and the CNA positions are vital to that effort.” Patients in the Zambarano Unit include individuals who require significant medical care as well as those with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities.
The RI Department of Labor and Training offers employment services, educational services and economic opportunity to both individuals and employers. DLT protects Rhode Island’s workforce by enforcing labor laws, prevailing wage rates and workplace health and safety standards. The department also provides temporary income support to unemployed and temporarily disabled workers.
